Weighted Utensils for people with Parkinson's Disease or Hand Tremors

People with Parkinson's disease or hand tremors can benefit from using weighted utensils when they eat.   At Elderstore, we carry two models of weighted utensils.   KEatlery utensils have the appearance of normal, quality flatware, but they weigh approximately 8 ounces each.  The other model of weighted utensils we carry are the same weight but with contoured handles to help you or your loved one maintain a better grip.  Click here to learn more.

  1. Thanks for this information.. I was not aware that weighted utensils were of assistance. Yet even knowing this information simply isn't enough.. I mean the next question is definitely.. "Where can I get it" Well, right HERE! Thank you for not only offering the idea of a benefit.. yet a location where the solution can be found. In one easy step.. a solution is found.. and that is greatly appreciated.. keep smiling

  3. I think it's great that devices/tools like this are out there for people battling parkinson's disease. I wonder if the same can be used for people with RA?

  6. I've never heard of weighted utensils. I wonder if they function much differently than others at the store. Are they that much more expensive?
